Operation Bannister Investigation Report published

The Commission has today published the Investigation Report for Operation Bannister, which has previously been provided to the Attorney-General.

Operation Bannister was a joint investigation initiated by the Australian Commission into Law Enforcement Integrity (ACLEI) and the Department of Home Affairs (Home Affairs) into a former Home Affairs employee’s familial links to a contracted service provider. The investigation transitioned to the National Anti-Corruption Commission on 1 July 2023. In accordance with the transitional arrangements, the National Anti-Corruption Commissioner reviewed the evidence and completed the investigation report.

The investigation concluded that there was no corrupt conduct.
